Golden Step offers gentle exercise classes for older adults (60+), aimed at improving balance, strength and wellbeing in a friendly, welcoming group. The Golden Step programme provides low-impact group exercise sessions designed to support older adults in staying strong, steady, and confident in everyday life. Classes combine evidence-based techniques in strength, balance, posture, flexibility, and gentle breathing to help participants move with greater ease and comfort. Led by a qualified instructor with specialist training in older adult fitness, postural stability, and pulmonary rehabilitation, each session is structured to be inclusive and adaptable, making these classes suitable for those new to exercise, returning after illness, or simply wishing to maintain their independence. Golden Step focuses on the small steps that make a big difference, helping older adults feel brighter, steadier, and more at ease in their daily routines. Two classes take place at the Trinity Methodist Church Hall in Shifnal each Monday, from 1pm to 2pm and from 2pm to 3pm, and are open to all older adults. A referral is not required; however, anyone wishing to attend is kindly asked to contact Kate in advance to check class availability and ensure a suitable place can be offered.
