This summer, there’s something for all the family to enjoy on the Severn Valley Railway. Step back in time to the golden age of travel with journeys on board trains hauled by both steam and diesel locomotives. They can’t wait to welcome you at the Severn Valley Railway.Trains will be running Tuesday to Thursday and on weekends from Saturday 19 July to Sunday 31 August 2025. You can Plan your visit with the train timetable. On 19, 20, 22, 23 & 24 July trains will be operating between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade only, following an embankment collapse. They will be operating trains on the full length of 16 miles from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, from Saturday 26 July when the line is fully re-opened.Train to be a Trainee at The Engine House, Tuesdays to Thursday during the summer holidaysFamilies with youngsters can ‘Train to be a Trainee’ at The Engine House, Highley.Perkins the Station Master and Junior the Apprentice will be on hand to introduce a range of fun-filled activities.There’ll be steam-themed games, the opportunity to jump on an engine’s footplate, and sort the mail in a travelling post office carriage.Can you collect items for Perkins’ lunch and find everything Junior has misplaced in the scavenger hunt?Plus, everyone’s favourite stay ‘n’ play activity is back at The Engine House with Train Time UK. If your child loves playing trains, they will adore playing mini-trains amongst the big ones!Free activities take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the school summer holidays, from 11am-3pm. Activities are free of charge to those who travel by heritage train.Parking at our main car parks at Kidderminster Town Station DY10 1QX, Bewdley Station DY12 1DP and Bridgnorth Station WV16 5DP is £4 per day.
