Independence at Home is a charity providing financial help, in the form of one-off grants of money, to people living at home in the UK, who are substantially disabled or long-term ill, and in financial need. They are not able to help people living in residential care, and cannot help other organisations or groups of people. Grants are made towards a wide range of items that are needed to improve independence, safety, comfort and quality of life. Before a grant can be considered, the Charity expects that Statutory provision, where appropriate, be first investigated. Independence at Home has an on line application process.
