Fenns Meadow Green Burial Ground is a small family run business based in the North Shropshire countryside, just outside Whitchurch. Burial plots can be bought in advance to save worry and upset or at the time of death. The plots can be consecrated if wished. They also offer the interment of ashes along with scattering of ashes, which can be performed in coppice woodland. They offer great flexibility. You can have the service within the meadowland or at a church or place of memorial and then go to Fenns Meadow Green for the burial. Your service can be religious or non-religious. They have contact with local churches and have celebrants that can help write your service. Indeed, they have had families that have written and performed the whole service themselves. Due to the site being a Green Burial Ground, they do not have headstones but rather a small stone marking plaque with initials engraved that lies flush to the ground, which can be purchased if wished, or a small wooden plaque with name etc, which can be purchased and placed on their Remembrance Tree within the site. This keeps the site looking as natural as possible. They do have quite strict rules regarding the type of coffin, shroud or urn that you are buried in, as it has to be biodegradable.
