The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity protecting historic churches at risk. They have saved over 370 beautiful buildings which attract almost two million visitors a year. All CCT churches are available for visitors to enjoy and explore, many are suitable for hosting events and volunteering in. CCT looks after 10 churches in Shropshire, three of which are particularly spectacular: St Leonard’s Church, Bridgnorth, St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Battlefield, and St Mary the Virgin, Shrewsbury. The CCT have a range of exciting fundraising activities, and interesting opportunities to volunteer. St Mary’s, Shrewsbury has amazing interpretation and fascinating stories.
