Stokesay Primary school is a rural school located in south Shropshire in the town of Craven Arms. Stokesay Primary School is at the heart of the Craven Arms community and we have high aspirations for all pupils. Stokesay Primary School is a inclusive and diverse school which celebrates all those that attend. At Stokesay Primary School, we provide a safe, happy and nurturing environment for every unique child to develop and succeed. One of the most frequent aspects that visitors to our school comment on is the welcoming ‘family’ feel of Stokesay, and the behaviour and manners of our children in a purposeful learning environment. Children are inspired to learn, because teachers provide them with motivational learning opportunities, to encourage their curiosity. We believe in building strong, positive relationships between our pupils, parents, staff, governors and the community and we welcome visitors, so please feel free to come and see this for yourself. We offer 15 & 30 hours free entitlement for 3 & 4 years term time only. There is also a breakfast club on site which operates from 7:45am everyday of the week.We offer the children a selection of breakfast cereals, toast, crumpets and bagels. Fruit juice, tea and water are also available. The cost of breakfast club is £2 per child, per day. Local offer: Children who need learning support will be taught both within their own class base, individually or in small groups appropriate to their learning needs. They will receive specific help from their class teacher, the special needs co-ordinator, the learning support advisory teacher and teaching assistants. The school works hard to meet the requirements of the Code of Practice for Children with Special Educational Needs and allocates considerable resources to enable all children to reach their potential. Analysis of assessments every term and KS1/2 SATS results every year monitors the progress made by SEN pupils compared to their peers. A copy of the policy for Special Educational Needs is available from the school on request.
