Shropshire Archives holds the main collection of published and original records of the history of Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin. From January 2026, Shropshire Archives will be open for two days each week, as part of a phased reopening while they complete the move of council records: Monday and Tuesday: closed Wednesday and Thursday: 10am to 5pm Friday to Sunday: closed. You will need a Shropshire Archives reader’s ticket to consult original documents, photographs, electoral registers etc, please make an appointment in order to guarantee your space.
