Wem and District Garden Club is open to all sections of the community who have a love of gardening and are enthusiastic to learn more. Meetings are held at the United Services Club, on the third Tuesday of each month, at 7.30pm, with coffee and alcoholic beverages available from the bar. Most meetings include a speaker, a competition to choose a flower from your garden, a plant exchange and a raffle. During the summer they also arrange visits to local gardens, making sure there is a cafe for lunch, and in December there is a Christmas lunch at a local restaurant. Annual subscription is £10, and guests may attend for a charge of £3 per visit. They are a friendly group, and new members are always most welcome..
