Norton-in-Hales Cricket Club is a friendly, sociable and inclusive cricket club based in North Shropshire. The Cricket Club was established in the late 1920s and moved to its current location following the Second World War. League cricket was first played at Norton-in-Hales in the 1970s, when the Club joined the South Cheshire Alliance League. In the mid-1990s the reorganisation of local cricket in line with ECB policy led to the demise of the Alliance League and Norton-in-Hales then joined the North Staffs and District League. The Club is based at Norton-in-Hales community playing field, and have four senior teams, with two teams currently playing on Saturdays in the North Staffs and South Cheshire Cricket League, as well as several junior teams (including mixed teams) at various age-levels playing in local leagues. New members, both young or old, are always encouraged at the club.
