White Ribbon UK is a leading organisation engaging men and boys to end men’s violence against women. White Ribbon UK works to change long-established attitudes, behaviours, and systems around masculinity to prevent violence before it starts. White Ribbon UK works directly with men and boys through its Ambassador programme. These Ambassadors are dedicated and active male volunteers who engage with other men and boys to inform and call out abusive and sexist attitudes and behaviour. They promote a culture of equality and respect, to stop sexist behaviour before it develops into violence against women and girls. White Ribbon UK relies on the support of individuals and organisations: Individuals can sign up to become Ambassadors and Champions, taking on responsibility to reflect, educate and challenge friends, family and colleagues about the importance of ending violence against women. Organisations can become White Ribbon Accredited, by commiting to a 3 year roadmap of continuous development to transform harmful behaviours in their workplace and community, or alternatively a Supporter Organisation, if they have less than 250 employees and are looking to show their allyship with women in their community and workplace.
