Wem Store Cupboard is a small group comprised of representatives from several organisations, including Wem Town Council, Incredible Edibles, Wem Area Climate Action (WACA), Wem PCC and Wem Youth Club. The group meets regularly to co-ordinate a localised food support service, to offer: Emergency Support – supply of emergency food support packages to residents before signposting them to Whitchurch Food Bank. One Off Support – supply of food parcels on request to free school meal recipients from both St Peter’s CE Primary and The Thomas Adams School. Longer term support – supply of frozen ready meals as a supplement to basic food supplies to those identified by officers from various agencies as being in need of support.
