Taking Part is an overarching organisation who provide advice, information, advocacy and guidance to people with health and care needs throughout Shropshire including Telford and Wrekin. Taking Part promote choice, increase independence and inclusion and uphold individual rights. Their activities are designed to provide a supportive and engaging environment that allows participants to enjoy themselves and join in as it suits them best. Moving & Grooving is a session for SEND families, including siblings to attend a range of accessible leisure activities, where parents/carers have the option to stay within the session, or have some respite in a separate location onsite or offsite. Toilet facilities, Parking available. Each session will provide exciting opportunities for the young people to develop new skills, be creative, play in small groups or solo. Popular activities include ‘build your own golf course’, den building, cooking and imaginative play.Each session will start and end in a calm and inclusive manner and provide a safe environment. A ‘chill out’ area is provided for when participants need to have some quiet time. Parent Carers are welcomed to join their private Facebook Group where you can connect with and support each other, engage with us, and where we can share resources and more with you too.This All In Activity is commissioned by The Actio Consortium on behalf of Shropshire Council.
